Your data, plainly explained
Last updated: October 25, 2026
PR Chaser ("we", "us") is made by Always Blue Software LLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the PR Chaser app and website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect the information you'd expect from a running and workout tracking app:
- Account information — your email address, display name, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address, your name if you choose to share it, and an account ID from them instead of a password.
- Calendar information — only if you turn on calendar booking (see Your calendar below).
- Activity data — workouts, runs, and strength sessions you log or sync, including distance, pace, duration, heart rate, and GPS routes.
- Health data — if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, we read the workouts you've authorized us to access, along with each workout's distance, GPS route, heart rate and active calories burned. They appear on the activity in PR Chaser (distance, pace, route map, heart rate and heart-rate zones, and calories) and count toward your reports and personal records. On iPhone, if you turn on Save activities to Apple Health, PR Chaser also writes the runs you record in the app to Apple Health. On Android, PR Chaser only reads from Health Connect and never writes to it.
- Everyday health data — if you choose Show my day on the Home screen, PR Chaser also reads your daily steps, exercise minutes (on Android, the length of your workouts), sleep, resting heart rate and heart rate variability from Apple Health or Health Connect. We store one daily total of each per day, so your Home screen and the web app can show your day, your daily movement goal and streak, and how ready you are to train. We don't keep the minute-by-minute samples.
- Device information — a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), your timezone, and your unit preferences (km/mi, kg/lbs).
- Usage information — basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service, plus session replay (see-what-you-saw screen recordings and network activity) used to diagnose bugs and crashes. Passwords and auth tokens are never captured.
How we use your information
- To provide the core functionality of the app — logging, tracking, and displaying your training data.
- To send you account-related emails (password resets, email verification) and, if you opt in, workout reminders and push notifications.
- To maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health or fitness data for advertising. PR Chaser does not currently show ads.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to operate PR Chaser:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our database and servers, and sends transactional email (password resets, verification) on our behalf.
- Apple HealthKit / Android Health Connect — only if you explicitly connect them, to sync your workout history and, if you choose, your daily steps, sleep and heart-rate totals.
- Apple and Google sign-in — only if you choose to sign in with them, to confirm who you are.
- Google Calendar — only if you connect it, to book your planned runs into your calendar (see Your calendar).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications, if you enable them.
- LogRocket — session replay and error diagnostics, used to reproduce and fix bugs.
- Open-Meteo — the weather when a GPS activity started. We send the start's approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) and the date, never your account or the route.
- Sentry — crash and error reports, so we can find and fix problems. A report carries your PR Chaser account ID, not your name or email. When you use Report a problem, Sentry also receives what you write and any screenshots you choose to include.
- RevenueCat — manages PR Chaser Pro subscriptions across the App Store, Google Play and the web. It receives your PR Chaser account ID and your purchase history, not your workout data.
- Anthropic — provides the AI model behind AI Coach. Only when you use AI Coach, and only after you've agreed in the app, it receives what's needed to build your plan or workout: your answers in the form and conversation, your units and time zone, and a summary of your recent training (weekly distance, paces, personal records, goals and recent activities). It doesn't receive your name, email or GPS routes. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data isn't used to train its models.
- Apple, Google and Paddle — process subscription payments. Apple and Google handle in-app purchases; Paddle (our online reseller and Merchant of Record for web orders) handles web checkout, including your payment details and billing address. We never see or store your full card number.
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
AI Coach
The first time you use AI Coach, it asks for your permission before sending anything to Anthropic, and you can withdraw that permission any time in Settings → AI (web) or Profile → AI (app). When you build a plan or workout with AI Coach, we keep the conversation, the draft and what you saved with your account, along with a usage record (how much was used, not what was said) so we can apply monthly limits and control costs. If you add your own Anthropic API key, it's stored encrypted, used only for your own AI Coach builds, and deleted when you remove it or delete your account; requests made with your key are billed to you by Anthropic under your agreement with them.
AI apps you connect
If you connect PR Chaser to an AI app you use, such as Claude, that app can read your training data (activities, weekly mileage, personal records, goals, plans and saved workouts) and save plans, workouts and activities to your account while you use it. It only happens after you sign in and approve the connection, and the AI app asks before saving anything. Your conversations with the AI app are between you and that provider, under its own privacy policy; PR Chaser doesn't see them. You can disconnect an AI app any time in Settings → AI (web) or Profile → AI (app).
Your calendar
PR Chaser can book your planned runs into your own calendar at a free time, so you've set the time aside. There are two ways, and both are off until you turn them on.
- Your phone's calendar (Add to my calendar, in the app). With your permission, the app reads the events in the calendars on your phone to find a free time, and adds a block for each planned run. This all happens on your phone: your events are never sent to PR Chaser's servers. The app only changes or removes the blocks it added. If you move one of them, the app updates that run's day and time in PR Chaser.
- Google Calendar (Connect Google Calendar, on the web or in the app). With your permission, our servers access your Google Calendar to:
- see the times you're busy across your calendars, so runs are booked at free times;
- list your calendars, so you can choose which one gets your runs;
- add, move and remove the run events PR Chaser creates in that calendar, and notice when you move or delete one of them, so your plan follows.
PR Chaser's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar data only to book and update your runs, we don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else, and no person at PR Chaser reads it unless you ask us to help with a problem or the law requires it. It isn't used to train AI models.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete individual activities, workouts, and plans at any time from within the app.
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
- You can revoke Apple Health / Health Connect access at any time from your device's system settings.
- You can stop calendar booking any time: turn off Add to my calendar (the runs it added are removed from your phone's calendar), or disconnect Google Calendar in Settings (web) or Calendar Sync (app). Disconnecting removes the upcoming runs PR Chaser added, deletes our copy of your Google access and tells Google to revoke it. You can also remove PR Chaser's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- You can turn off push notifications at any time.
Data retention
- While you have an account, we keep your account and the data in it (activities, health data you've synced, routes, workouts, plans, goals, AI Coach conversations and settings) so the app can show your training history. We don't delete accounts for inactivity.
- Things you delete (an activity, workout or plan) are removed from our database straight away. When you delete a workout that came from Apple Health or Health Connect, we keep only its type, start time and source ID, so the next sync doesn't bring it back.
- When you delete your account, everything stored with it is deleted immediately, including your health data, routes, profile photo and Google Calendar access, and we delete your customer record at RevenueCat.
- Backups: our database backups, kept to recover from a failure, roll over every 7 days, so deleted data is gone from backups within 7 days.
- Server logs are deleted after 14 days.
- Apple Health export files you upload to import are deleted from our servers as soon as the import finishes.
- Crash and error reports, including what you send with Report a problem (Sentry), and session recordings (LogRocket) are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Payment records are kept by Apple, Google and Paddle under their own policies, as tax and accounting law requires.
Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Access tokens are short-lived; refresh tokens are stored in an httpOnly, secure cookie and rotated on use.
Children's privacy
PR Chaser is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
